Going green, going yellow, going to bed early

So today I opened my email (after a grueling day of 2nd graders and trying to fight off the rest of my cold, or spreading the good germs, one or the other) and I saw at the top of my hotmail and interesting ad. Now usually I do my best to ignore whatever advertisement is flashing at me to check my credit rating, win a free dinner, or lose more weight than ever in my life, or date some big bosemed blonde chick in a swimsuit in the singles dating service (not my cup I prefer brunettes,.....j/k). So anyhoo the ad was for ethanol fuel running cars by GM. Now maybe you are getting lots of bombardment or awareness thrown at you in the states...but here in Japan this is the first I've heard of it (don't think we have any here).

1)ethanol is mixed at 85%ratio to 15% gasoline
2)it burns cleaner and will save us in fossil fuels and reduce greenhouse gasses 10-15%
3)ethanol is made from corn....go Kentucky!
4)it costs less but it isn't as efficient when it comes to MPG, so it ends up costing the same or slightly more over time.
5)it's becoming easy to get at most everywhere (not my hometown, buy every Sphinx station nearby!) and you can locate it from GM's webpage by clicking on their map.http://www.e85fuel.com/database/search.php
So unless you are buying a new car right now, it may not be worth the trouble to renounce all gasoline and dive in the corn, but it may not be long until the industry will make it worthwhile for the consumers. Keep an eye out!
