Open Mic Night's Return

After a long and sad absence of music (sob!) Open Mic Night returned to Memory Live House this past Saturday and rocked Joetsu. While a few old faces (and sounds) were missed (Alexi!) and a few others who had commitments in other parts of the ken, the place was packed and some great music (and some er, interprative music in the case a one fella) insued on into the night including the debut of HaruKaze (two awesome boys in their 3rd year of highschool), HageMegane with Salaryman blues, Kei joining me for Niigata winter blues, Master and MasaO and everyone rocking out some jam band tunes, and even a few sing alongs! Ah their was even Daigo the sanshin player...some of our locals like Chuck and Josh givin us some guitar and vocal magic. Dan too made it up on stage for a little You are my Sunshine and Happy Birthday (TODAY!!) to Mara and Megan! Hope all those who missed out this time will make it out for the next one. Start working up that music peoples!
